Time & Location

Aug 09, 2021, 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM PDT

Boulder City Senior Center, 813 Arizona St, Boulder City, NV 89005, USA

About the Event

America will be giving her final talk on environmental conservation to the seniors in her Boulder City community. She will provide information on Nevada's endangered and threatened species, the issues with the endangered species list, and pair this all with a reflection activity. Seniors will create a "Lake Mead" of endangered NV fish, by using the provided materials to bring to life the fish through different colors and textures. For those who are comfortable, a group picture of our artistic creations will be taken at the end of the session and added to the Mojave Art Collective socials and website.

The registration for this event is capped at the safe indoor gathering number for the Boulder City Senior Center, as per CDC guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic. That being said, we still encourage you to register even if spots are completely filled - there will be a waitlist available for those attendants - or check out when registration opens for the next showing of this age group lecture.
